Publisher X wants to cut down on staff while maintaining the same categories of content it publishes.
Using Magnet Smart Analytics, Publisher X can first check the Category Published vs. Consumed (in %) comparison for the past month. Then, based on the lowest “ROI” – Category where by the percentage of Published content out of the total Published is less than the percentage of Consumption (% of PageViews generated by content that falls under this category) - Publisher X can simply go to the Entity Tab and generate a report specific to this Category. For example: if the Category with lowest ROI was Sports, Publisher X can then generate several reports to understand which team in the Sports department has the lowest ROI. Sample reports:
- Category Sports -> Top Teams in terms of ROI (Published vs. Consumed)
- Category Sports -> Top Tournaments in terms of ROI
- Category Sports -> Top People in terms of ROI
- Category Sports -> Top Locations in terms of ROI
Based on these reports, Publisher X should be able to choose the sports type, the league, teams, and even athletes he needs to maintain the same level of coverage for versus others. This makes the decision-making process much easier.
