Introduction:
Follow Related widget populates stories based on the user's followed articles and/or entities. Please refer to the Magnet for Publishers: Follow Story and Follow Entity Integration - Widget design to know how to integrate the "Follow" functionality.
Integrating the Magnet Follow Related widget on any publisher website is a very simple process as described below:
1) Schema.org compliance:
Skip this step if you have any widget working on your website or you completed this step previously. Otherwise, follow this link to complete this step.
2) Designing the Follow Related Widget
Follow Related widget design can be created using our user-friendly Online Widget Designer. This designer allows changing the layout, the CSS styles, and the logic settings of each widget.
The Success team should provide you access to its interface and guide your team to design follow related widget. If you already have access to the Magnet for Publishers dashboard, select Followed Articles widget to start designing your own.
Check the screenshot below of our widget designer.
3) Show More options
If you wish to have a complete dedicated page to show the user his/her follow related stories, follow these steps:
a) Create a "Followed Articles Page" so the widget can be connected to it - please refer to the article Follow Related Articles page.
b) Activate the "Add Show More Link" option on the Follow Related Articles Widget and configure the settings of this option in the tab "Show More".
Please note that if this option is activated, a "show more" link will be displayed at the bottom of the widget that will redirect the user the "Followed Articles Page".
4) Adding the widget on the website
Similar to any widget integration on your website: 1. Add the JS code; 2. Add the widget code
