Magnet for Publishers WordPress Plugin integration

Installation of the Magnet WordPress Plugin from the WordPress plugin directory

• Login to your WordPress admin panel (typically http(s)://(yoursite.com)/wp-login.php)
• Navigate to the WordPress plugin directory
• On the top left of the page, click on “Add New”
• Search for “Magnet“ and install the plug-in

Installation of the Magnet Plugin using the plugin zipfile

• Download the plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/magnet/
  
• Install the plugin using the “install plugin by uploading” option

Configure the company id

• Navigate to “Magnet Settings” in the Admin menu
• Enter your assigned company id (check this article if you don't know it) in the Customer ID field and select “Save Changes”
  
  
• Make sure the “Widgets” section is enabled under “Appearance”

Add the widgets to your site

Widgets can be added by:

1. Using the Magnet Settings page – the widgets will appear below the article only
2. The add widget option in your Appearance – widgets can be placed in the left and right rail
3. Adding html-divs
   
   

a) Adding widgets in the Magnet Settings page

• Enter the respective “Widget ID” into its respective text field, see table on the  next page
• The order field identifies the order in which the widgets will appear below the article

Example: Where company ID is 999.

b) Adding widgets in your appearance

• Select “Appearance” in “Article"
• Select “Widgets”, “Sidebar” (naming depends on the WordPress template being used) and drag and drop the “Magnet widget” in the right place
• Set the widget ID (see table)

Adding widgets at positions not supported by the WordPress Theme

• Go to "back-end" of the WordPress theme
• Add the div-code at the right position.
